The community is waiting for the release of Valorant's Episode 8 Act 2 to start grinding the new battle pass, which includes several new skinlines, sprays, and more of the usual goodies. These cosmetics often have a connection to characters and/or locations, and because they are usually leaked ahead of time, they effectively tease future content.
And that's what happened over the weekend. Shortly after update 8.04 was added to the test servers, which includes all the content from Act 2, a mysterious Player Card caught the attention of several leakers. This card has an image that could be a teaser for the next map coming to the game. Here is a screenshot of the cosmetic:
According to the ValorantLeaksEN account on X (formerly Twitter), the card has the following description: "Underneath it all." Considering that the image shows what looks like ruins, all the clues point toward an underground map.
Of course, this is merely speculation, so we will have to wait and see what other clues Riot drops throughout the season to know what's going on with this new location.
As for its release date, that remains a mystery for the moment. Given that the teaser is coming at the beginning of Act 2, we could assume that the map will be released in time for Act 3, whether at the start or mid-season.
Valorant currently has 10 standard maps, seven of which are available in the game's competitive modes.
