Rise Nation Acquires ex-Mouz Roster, Adds Ghxst

Rise Nation, best known for their history in Call of Duty esports, has picked up the North American team previously known as mousesports and added GhxsT to replace VertcL.

Mousesports joined R6 esports in March this year, just prior to Season 7, with the acquisition of “Bird University” (better known as 1nfamy) a few months after their second place finish in North America during Season 6. Mouz went on to achieve a joint fifth place finish in Season 7 and, most recently with the roster of Beastly, vandal, VertcL, Hyper, and England, achieved another fifth-place finish in North America during Season 8 after a tough first half to the season.

As well as Pro League, this roster also competed at DreamHack Austin, finishing in joint 13th, and DreamHack Montreal, finishing in joint 5th, and has since qualified for both the US Nationals LAN and CCS Season 4, both starting next month. The roster will, however, attend these events under a new organisation - Rise Nation.

Rise Nation is best known for their involvement in Call of Duty esports with their roster playing in the CoD World Championship this August, however, this team was dropped soon afterwards. Currently, Rise has rosters in Gears of War, Fortnight, Street Fighter and now, R6.

The whole of the mouz roster, however, won't be going across to Rise Nation as Franklyn “VertcL” Andres has left for another, unconfirmed, team and Julian “morxzas” Miculcy, their coach, has been forced to leave as Rise didn’t offer him a livable wage. While the coaching position will remain open for now, VertcL’s player role will be filled by the promising up-and-coming player of GhxsT.

GhxsT spent the last season playing in Challenger League with Elephant Gang where he just failed to make Pro League after defeats against Excelerate Gaming and Noble esports however now will join his ex-teammate from Disrupt Gaming, Hyper, in the top tier of Siege as he joins Rise.

Rise Nation's next games will be in early December when Pro League and CCS both restart with a US Nationals appearance in mid-December to also look forward to. Watch out for more details on all these tournaments right here at SiegeGG!
