Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley dead at 24, according to statement from family

According to an announcement from his family, professional commentator Michael “KiXSTAr” Stockley has passed away.

According to the East Bay Times, coroners confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 13 that KiXSTAr had been the person involved in a solo car accident two days prior. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The NAL playday he was expected to cast has been postponed to Oct. 20.

In addition, the final APAC South playday has also been postponed from Oct. 14 to Oct. 15. The matches will be played off-stream.

KiXSTaR was a pillar of the competitive “Rainbow Six Siege” community since his playing days with Orbit. He moved from a playing role to a casting role in 2016.

In 2020, he was named the Esports Caster of the Year (Colour) at the Esports Awards, and was again nominated for the same award in 2021.

His loss will be felt across the scene. The SiegeGG team sends condolences to his family and loved ones.
