Over the weekend, Epic Games removed the dance emote Peaceful Hips from Fortnite, which was added along with the Peacemaker skin. We dive deeper into the reason here, but Epic was concerned that the dance includes Nazi symbolism.
Now, a few days after its removal, leaker HYPEX has confirmed that Epic and Warner Bros. have reached an agreement and the emote will return to the game on Thursday, October 9th. The studio reportedly confirmed that the dance is not connected to the current events happening in Season 2 of the DC Studios show.
The leaker revealed that Peaceful Hips will have new animations when it comes back, but we still don't know if the entire dance will change or just some parts. Some users online believe (or hope) that the dance will recreate the intro dance from Season 1, which had a different choreography.
For those who haven't seen the show or didn't purchase the original cosmetic, you can see the original Peaceful Hips emote in the video below:
If you are worried about not liking the emote, Epic will offer refunds for the new cosmetic without having to open a support ticket.
And for those looking to get something new in the shop, all the spotlight is on the new KPOP Demon Hunters collab, adding the characters alongside other minor cosmetics for fans of the film. You can check out all the new cosmetics from this crossover here.
