Fans outraged at Ubisoft following Siege's Border's Archives computer changes

Fortunately, you can still vault on the bookshelf.

Border Siege spot still doable despite Ubisoft's decision to move the computer

Earlier today, Ubisoft performed maintenance to deploy Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege's Y9S2.2 patch. Although the patch introduced minor improvements and fixes to some bugs, the players quickly discovered a hidden change that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.

As spotted by some members of the game's community, Ubisoft moved the position of Border's famous computer, which is located in the Archives room.

You may be annoyed if you're a Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege die-hard fan. The position of the computer is extremely popular among the game's enjoyers because it allows the players to do some kind of "parkour moves" to reach the top of the bookshelf. By moving the computer to the left, players instantly thought that reaching the top of the bookshelf wasn't an option anymore.

Border spot

Fortunately, players have already found a way of doing so after Y9S2.2's patch. It's very easy: you only have to place yourself on top of the computer and run to the window. Once you've done that, you should be on top of the drawers. Move to the right and an option to vault on top of the bookshelf should appear. The popular Twitch streamer Titanium Rolo explained it on their X account (formerly known as Twitter).

The Border spot on Archives is widely known because it can be used in different ways. Firstly, it puts you in a higher position. This is good because the attackers who drone the area may ignore the possibility of having a defender on top of the bookshelf. If that's the case and the attacker jumps while ignoring your position, you will probably get yourself an easy kill. Secondly, it allows you to shoot at the attackers who spawn on the East Vehicle Entrance.

So, it's time to breathe a sigh of relief: Siege's most famous spot on Border isn't gone, at least not yet!
