In recent weeks, you may have heard that Ubisoft's XDefiant hasn't gone through its best time — and that's true. The game's player count is at an all-time low and even Ubisoft admitted that XDefiant has underperformed.
However, shortly after Mark Rubin denied the rumors of XDefiant shutting down after Season 4, Ubisoft's FPS unveiled a new map called Air and Space. Additionally, a new event called Stellar Strike Event was revealed. So, nowadays, Ubisoft is still going hard with more XDefiant content.
XDefiant's new map, Air and Space, is located in Washington D.C. and comes from the Tom Clancy's The Division 2 franchise.
The museum feels abandoned as vegetation has grown everywhere. The walls and floors look dirty and everything seems destroyed and looted. However, it's full of details as every room is different: from dusty planes to the spacecraft and the planetarium, this map has it all.
Air and Space is a map that's clearly divided into multiple rooms which are divided by the museum's main hall, which is a sniper's dream. The field of vision is clear and any weapon that can reach long distances is going to feel overpowered.
However, there's always going to be space for close gunfights. In rooms like the planetarium or the Mars room, players will have to face off in close combat situations. That's where the shotguns will shine!
The release of Air and Space and the game's new event Stellar Strike are the first pieces of brand-new content released to XDefiant since the launch of the game's Season 2, which hit the game less than a month ago. Including the game's new faction Highwaymen, a new game mode called Bomb, new weapons, and new balancing features, XDefiant may be going in the right direction. Only time will tell!
