DPlus KIA announced the signing of Dyjair "Mity" Soares as the team's new coach for the remainder of the season. The Brazilian will work alongside Kim "EnvyTaylor" Seong-soo, who joined the team in March 2024.
The 25-year-old's professional career is one of a kind. After starting as a player, the Brazilian's first experience as a coach was under Ninjas in Pyjamas, where he helped the team win the Six Invitational 2021 and reach the Six Sweden Major grand final.
Following his one-year stay in the Swed organization, Mity moved back to a player position, this time for Atualizado Team. There, Mity helped the organization-less roster win Brazil's LIGA START. Later on, he joined Netshoes Miners, where he was one match away from qualifying for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta as his team lost in Brazil's Last Chance Qualifiers' grand final against LOS.
Now, the Six Invitational 2021 champion is back in a coaching position after accepting DPlus KIA's offer. He's the second Brazilian to join the South Korea League as he's following the footsteps of his fellow César "Dark" Adriano, who currently coaches FearX.
It's worth mentioning that he's not the only Six Invitational champion in the league, as Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten is coaching PSG Talon. With only two BLAST R6 Major spots in South Korea, fans expect the three rosters to put up a great fight to qualify for Montreal.
