According to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, XSET has reached a deal with Oxygen to buy out Evan “Yoggah” Nelson and Leo “Kyno” Figuerido. Rafael “Rafinha” Ferreira previously reported that the pair "are on XSET’s shortlist to finalize the Rainbow Six Siege’s [sic] roster."
According to multiple sources, the deal is now done. Kyno and Yoggah will complete the XSET lineup.
XSET will field Kyno, Yoggah, Zachary “SpiriTz” Dionne, Arthur "GMZ" Oliveira, and Lucas “DiasLucasBR” Dias in the NAL 2022 season.
The former Oxygen duo had their contracts bought out, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. The Oxygen squad was informed of the deal's finality at the Six Invitational, after the team completed their top-eight run. The deal is all but officially signed as of Feb. 18, as teams cannot formally sign players outside of the transfer window.
The move solidifies XSET for the upcoming season and leaves Oxygen with two player spots open. Dillon "Razorr" Presley, as a result, is now officially back on the market.
In the past nine months, Oxygen has finished top-six and top-eight at two Six Invitationals in a row. The Six Invitational 2021 was postponed until May due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, making it possible to compete in two Six Invitationals in one calendar year.
XSET was relegated from the North American League following the 2021 season, but has reportedly been offered to re-join the league for the 2022 season. No players from the previously relegated roster remain.
