Just two points separate second from ninth
If you have been living under a rock for the last few weeks, the North American League standings might shock you. Charlotte Major finalists Astralis are now in ninth place after a difficult start to the stage, while TSM have climbed to first.
Right in the middle of the pack, Parabellum Esports and beastcoast can upset any of the teams looking for a Berlin Major ticket. It is a very close run and aside from Mirage, nobody should be ruled out from it just yet.
TSM’s clash against XSET in today’s set of matches might be crucial for the future of the standings, as the Six Invitational 2022 champions could go up to first with 13 points.
Charlotte Major grand final replay
Only a month after both sides played in the Charlotte Major grand final, DarkZero Esports and Astralis will face off again. This time there’s no trophy in the line – but there is a potential ticket to Berlin to play for.
Only split by one point, both teams go into this match outside of the top four. Moreover, both rosters have similar schedules, as the two squads are yet to face Oxygen Esports and XSET. DarkZero’s future in the competition might be slightly easier, with the Charlotte Major champions facing Mirage on the last play day of the stage.
Looking at the history books, DarkZero have only defeated this roster once in the North American League, back in last year’s Stage 2 when the current Astralis core was still competing under Disrupt Gaming.
Crucial week for beastcoast
Following a perfect week with victories over Spacestation Gaming and XSET, beastcoast is now just one point behind the top four.
It is worth mentioning that the team has already played against Oxygen Esports and the Charlotte Major champions, DarkZero. Now, the team will face Parabellum Esports and Mirage, who are arguably two of the weakest sides in the competition. Two wins against them would see beastcoast heading to the last three play days with a very real shot to make the Berlin Major.
