G2 Esports have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen Phase 3 after defeating Virtus.pro on Kafe. It was the replay of the Europe League 2023 Stage 1 grand final, which was won by the Russian roster.

Virtus.pro started the match with the right foot as the Russians won the first two rounds of the game. That's when the world champions woke up.

Following their poor start to the series, G2 Esports won their four remaining defenses. Eventually, the Europeans only needed two rounds to put the match point on the scoreboard.

Despite Danila "dan" Dontsov's best efforts to keep his team alive, Jack "Doki" Robertson completed the 1v1 clutch to send G2 Esports to Phase 3.

With this result, G2 Esports gets its rematch against the Russians, as the world champions' two only defeats throughout the Europe League Stage 1 came against Daniil "JoyStiCK" and company. Fortunately for the world champions, the team reacted when it mattered the most to secure a spot at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen Phase 3.

G2 Esports are the fifth squad to clinch a spot to compete in Phase 3. All FaZe Clan, w7m esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Soniqs did it before the Six Invitational 2023 champions.
