This week, we will meet four of the 24 teams that will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta.
The Japan and the South Korea League are on the verge of reaching the grand finals, which means the competition is about to know what teams will represent their region.
Both competitions have an extra spot each as the Last Chance Qualifiers begin in October.
Japan League
After missing out on the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen, CYCLOPS athlete gaming are one match away from making an international return.
On Sunday, the Japanese side will play against the winner of the match between IGZIST and Crest Gaming Lst for a spot in the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta. Meanwhile, NORTHEPTION will play against the winner of the clash between SCARZ and FAV Gaming.
The semi-final winners will meet on Oct. 1 to decide the region's Top 2 seeds. The winner will move to the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta Phase 2, while the loser will move to Phase 1. Moreover, Japan's first seed will obtain 150 SI Points, 20 more than the second seed.
South Korea League
South Korea will confirm two of its three representatives in three days as the winners of the semi-finals will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta.
After topping the standings of Group A and Group B, respectively, DPlus and SANDBOX Gaming are waiting to know their semi-final opposition.
The first match of the week will be the clash between Talon Esports and WEBL, as the winner will play against DPlus. Meanwhile, the winner of the match between Beyond Stratos Gaming and Before & After will play against SANDBOX Gaming.
Finally, the South Korea League grand final will be played next week. The winner will move to the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta Phase 2, while the loser will qualify for Phase 1. Just like in Japan, the region's first and second seeds will obtain 150 and 130 SI Points, respectively.
