Although Valorant's patch 9.08 will be launched later today, details regarding future updates have already seen the light of day.
Leaks regarding a game-changing Phoenix buff were released on social media and confirmed afterward in Riot Games' trailer for Episode 9 Act 3.
The video also included a sneak peek at a new feature that's expected to be released to Valorant soon: a new armor type called Regen Shield.
As seen in the trailer, the Regen Shield will be an armor type that will heal you automatically after you lose health points.
Although no official details have been unveiled regarding this new armor type, we expect this to give players 50 HP. The main difference between these and the other two shields in Valorant, the light and heavy shield, is that the HP will be added as the player loses HP.
In the video, we can see the Regen Shield's health points being added automatically to the player's health point tally. Therefore, we can assume that the Regen Shield could regenerate your HP as you lose health. A headshot could kill you automatically, but a body shot would be followed by an instant HP boost from the Regen Shield.
