Dates and location

The Valorant Masters Bangkok will be played from February 20 to March 2 in Bangkok, Thailand. The venue chosen for the matches is the UOB LIVE, located in Bangkok's Em District. It's positioned atop of the EMSPHERE shopping mall and has a capacity of up to 6,000 people.

Format and schedule

Valorant Masters Bangkok schedule

The Valorant Masters Bangkok will be divided into two phases, including the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. Here's everything you need to know about each one of them:

Swiss Stage

The Swiss Stage will be played from February 20 to February 24. All matches will follow a best-of-three (BO3) format.

On the two initial days of action, a first seed will play against a second seed. The draw for the first round of the Valorant Masters Bangkok Swiss Stage took place in Riot's studio in Berlin shortly after the conclusion of the VCT EMEA 2025 Kickoff.

Following the conclusion of the first round, the four winners will move to the upper bracket, while the losers will fall to the lower bracket. One day later, on February 22, the first round winners will clash against another first round winner and the two victorious sides will qualify for the playoffs as Swiss Stage first seeds. Meanwhile, on February 23, the losers from Round 1 will meet as the beaten teams will be knocked out of the competition.

Finally, on February 24, the remaining teams in the Swiss Stage will play as the two winners will qualify for the playoffs as Swiss Stage second seeds.

Playoffs

The Playoffs will be played from February 27 to March 2. All matches will follow a best-of-three format, except for the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final, which will be best-of-five matches.

On February 27, the two first seeds from the Swiss Stage will play against one of the two second seeds. The winner of each series will move to the Upper Bracket Final, which will be played on February 28, while the losers will fall to the Lower Bracket Semifinal, which will also be played on February 28.

One day later, on March 1, the loser of the Upper Bracket Final will face off against the winner of the Lower Bracket Semifinal. The victorious side will play against the Upper Bracket Final winner. Finally, the Valorant Masters Bangkok grand final will be played on March 2.

Teams

The Valorant Masters Bangkok will include eight teams, two from each international league including EMEA, Americas, Pacific, and China. Here's a look at all of the teams in the competition:

Team Vitality

Team Vitality's super roster was off to a good start in EMEA after winning the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff without a single defeat. With the roster including two international champions in Felipe "Less" Basso and Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev, the French powerhouse combines experience with talent to create a team that's possibly the fans' favorite to win in Thailand.

G2 Esports

After dominant performances against Cloud9, Leviatán, and Sentinels, G2 Esports reached the VCT 2025 Americas Kickoff grand final without dropping a single map. Eventually, the Americans won the competition after a 3-2 win against Sentinels.

Logically, the Americans should be one of the favorites to win in Bangkok. After a third-place finish at the Valorant Masters Shanghai, G2 Esports will be hungry to improve the result in Bangkok.

DRX

Although T1's super roster stole the show during the first weeks of the season, DRX ended up winning the VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff against all odds. In fact, before lifting the trophy, the South Koreans defeated the Valorant Masters Shanghai champions Gen.G Esports as well as T1 twice.

In conclusion, despite having made deep roster changes before the start of the season and trusting in the region's Tier 2, DRX could be an unexpected menace in Bangkok.

EDward Gaming

The Valorant Champions 2024 winners EDward Gaming didn't have a sweet start to the season as their defeat against Trace Esports unexpectedly pushed them to the lower bracket. Since then, the Chinese side looked almost unstoppable and ended up taking the region's first seed after redeeming themselves with a 3-1 victory against Trace Esports in the VCT 2025 China Kickoff grand finals.

Team Liquid

After making deep roster changes before the start of the season and falling to the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff Lower Bracket in the early stages of the bracket, the Blue Cavalry surprisingly qualified for Bangkok after five Lower Bracket wins, including a 3-0 victory against Team Heretics.

It will be Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski's first international event since finishing in second place in the Valorant Masters Shanghai after replacing Team Heretics' Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius for academical reasons.

Sentinels

The Valorant Masters Madrid champions are back to the competition after having missed out on the Valorant Masters Shanghai. Since the roster lifted the trophy, the team has made two changes as Sentinels signed Sean "bang" Bezerra and Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey.

Despite facing some complications, the team qualified for Bangkok after a second-place finish in the VCT 2025 Americas Kickoff as they lost against G2 Esports twice.

T1

The expectations around T1's super roster are abnormally high despite the team's second-place finish at the VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff.

So far, while the South Koreans have managed to get the job done, they have struggled to close out their series in their home region. Despite starting their series against BOOM Esports, Paper Rex, and Talon Esports with wins on the first map of each match, T1 were always pushed to map three as they only averaged 6,6 rounds in second maps.

Similarly, the South Koreans also won the first map against DRX in the Upper Bracket Final as well as the first two against Gen.G Esports. All in all, the team's difficulty when closing BO3 and BO5 series will be a big issue the players will have to solve before the start of the Valorant Masters Bangkok.

Trace Esports

Trace Esports is Bangkok's Cinderella as this will be the Chinese's first Valorant Masters appearance. However, the team performed above expectations in the Valorant Champions 2024 after finishing in the Top 8.

In the VCT 2025 China Kickoff, Trace Esports surprised everyone with victories against Dragon Ranger Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and the current world champions EDward Gaming.

Prize pool and VCT Points

The Valorant Masters Bangkok will be the teams' first big chance to add VCT Points to their respective tallies. Logically, each team will also earn a share of the competition's prize pool. Here's how these will be split:

  • 1st: USD$250,000 and 5 VCT Points
  • 2nd: USD$100,000 and 3 VCT Points
  • 3rd: USD$65,000 and 2 VCT Points
  • 4th: USD$35,000 and 1 VCT Point
  • 5th - 6th: USD$15,000
  • 7th - 8th: USD$10,000

Keep in mind that teams must win VCT Points to get closer to a Valorant Champions 2024 qualification. Therefore, a good result in Bangkok would help teams get closer to everyone's ultimate goal: playing in Paris, France, later this year.
