Now that the new year is here, another season of Valorant is starting soon, dropping the old title format and adopting Season 2025 Act 1 as the name.
Now that the trailer is out and with content creators playtesting the new elements before its release, here is everything you need to know about the first act.
Release date
The current battle pass countdown indicates Episode 10 Act 1 for Valorant is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 7 or Wednesday, January 8, depending on the region you play.
New agent: Tejo
Tejo is probably this season's biggest addition and what most players are excited about. This will be the game's 27th playable character, joining the roster of Initiators.

New cosmetics: FLEX
Season 2025 introduces a new type of cosmetic to the game called FLEX. This is an item that players will be able to show on one of their hand, similar to how Souvenirs work in Overwatch.
Two FLEX items will be available at the start of Act 1, a snowflake and a Stat-Com device. Riot promised to add more FLEX items in the future so those two won't be the only ones.
Players can do some animations with their FLEX items, similar to melee weapons, and they can be seen from a third-person view of other players. However, other players won't be able to see the animation, just the player doing it.
Having this item out won't give players an advantage in movement, since they will walk at ability speed, which is a bit slower than knife speed.
EX.O bundle
As usual, the season also brings a new bundle called EX.O to the in-game store. This is a five-weapon bundle, turning the melee knife into a katana.
Here is the trailer posted on social media where you can see the guns in action along with their animations and variations:
