Even though Valorant's Episode 8 Act 3 has already begun, there is still a new map on the way allegedly called Bastion. Rumors about this new location have been around since before the start of Act 2.
Now that its existence has been confirmed, we have gathered all the details from official sources and rumors that are known so far about this upcoming map.
Release date
As revealed in the launch trailer for Episode 8 Act 3, the new map will be revealed during VCT Masters Shanghai 2024. The presentation will probably take place on Sunday, June 9 before the Grand Finals match.
Bastion should be available to play for all Valorant players on Tuesday, June 11/Wednesday, June 12, depending on which servers you play on. Update 8.11 is scheduled to come out that day to introduce the new location.
What else do we know?
The first hint about the new map appeared on a Player Card that was part of the rewards from Episode 8 Act 2's battle pass. Here is the cosmetic in question:
As you can see, the Player Card has an image of what appears to be some underground ruins, pointing out that this map could be set underground.
A second leak came out a few days later when user Impossible_Ad1362 posted on Reddit an image of an unreleased map that their crawl bot found on the game's official website. You can see the image in the following post:
The image file has the word "Bastion" in it, indicating that this could be either the final title for the map or a temporary codename.
Once more information about this upcoming addition gets revealed or leaked, we will update this article to add all the details.
