Destiny 2 is an ever-evolving game with Bungie being in constant communication with the player base via social media and with the weekly This Week in Destiny blog.

This Week in Destiny (TWID for short), previously known as This Week at Bungie, has been a long-standing series of developer blog posts to keep Destiny players in the loop.

The blog has become a staple within the community to the point that, beyond the Tuesday weekly reset, waiting for the TWID blog is the second most exciting thing of a regular week of Destiny 2 content (outside of new expansions or seasons dropping)

While there's always a set day for the This Week in Destiny blog, sometimes Bungie delays the post for a wide variety of reasons. So, instead of blindly hoping they drop it, let's keep you up to date on the TWID schedule.

While you're here, consider checking out our God Roll guides for new weapons, including the Shadow Price auto rifle, Patron of Lost Causes scout rifle, and the Scintillation linear fusion rifle.

The TWID has been delayed this week

As veteran fans know, the weekly TWID blog always drops on Thursdays. The time is not exact, it could be as early as noon ET or even late in the afternoon.

This week, however, Bungie confirmed that the weekly dev post will not drop on Thursday, as employees will have the day off to celebrate the 4th of July festivities in the United States.

Bungie confirmed this on last week's TWID post, shared on June 27:

Be advised that next week’s TWID won’t be published on Thursday, July 4. We won’t be around that day as it’s a national holiday in the United States, so our studio is closed

Don't worry, that doesn't mean there won't be a TWID this week, but rather, expect it to drop on July 5, a day after its regular Thursday schedule.
