The first images of District, Apex Legends next Battle Royale map, have leaked

District is a new Apex Legends map leaked several months ago and players have been wondering about its arrival ever since. Although it won't be part of Season 21, which is set to come out soon, the first images of the map have started to appear online.

Osvaldatore, one of the most prominent Apex Legends leaker on X (formerly Twitter), posted some images of the map. Here is the first image, which gives us an overview look at the entire battle royale area:

A small version of this image first appeared in part 4 of the Kill Code cinematic, when Duardo scrolls the news on his tablet.

As you can see, the whole map will take place in this circular-shaped city that is set to be a portion of Angel City, a location that appeared in the Titanfall games before. This is the first enclosed map that takes place within a city, promoting close-quarter combats.

Initial rumors suggested that Respawn was planning to introduce a wall-running mechanic with this map, something that would have made sense given the structure of this map, but the idea was scrapped during its development.

These are the other images posted by the leaker, which show us the different points of interest in the new map:

Although it was originally scheduled to be released in Season 23, it appears that the map will now arrive in Season 22, which is expected to debut sometime in August.
