Team BDS have announced the signing of the Six Invitational 2021 champion Julio "Julio" Giacomelli. The Brazilian recently parted ways with the former Bleed Esports roster, now known as Team Joel.

As a coach, Julio has worked for FURIA Esports, MNM Gaming, and Bleed Esports. He made it internationally for the three lineups as he coached the Brazilians at the Six Berlin Major, the Europeans at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen, and the Asians at the Six Invitational 2024, the BLAST R6 Major Manchester, and the Esports World Cup 2024.

While the team's official announcement describes the arrival of the Brazilian as a move for the Six Invitational 2025, it's unclear if the former Ninjas in Pyjamas player could also join the organization for the upcoming season.

The European team is one of the main favorites to win the Six Invitational 2025 after a season where the roster won the Esports World Cup 2024 and reached back-to-back BLAST R6 Major grand finals.

However, it's fair to say Team BDS' record at the Six Invitational is underwhelming. Since the team's debut in the competition in 2020, the team's best result was a fourth-place finish five years ago. After that, the organization has only achieved two Top 8 finishes and a group stage elimination.
