Update: Parabellum has officially signed Gunnar.
According to multiple sources close to the team, Parabellum Esports is expected to sign Shaun "Gunnar" Pottorff in Tim "Creators" Humphreys' place in the second stage of the North American League, but the two parties have not come to a formal agreement just yet.
Sources also indicated that Gunnar tried out for Mirage before the transfer window.
The move will add a strong mechanical player to an already-strong mechanical team. Parabellum has some of the NAL's best shooters and added one of France's best mechanical talents during this transfer window.
Last season in the NAL, Parabellum finished in seventh place, but with several key victories: including a 7-4 victory over DarkZero, eventual Charlotte Major champions.
There is room to build at Parabellum, there's talent here that needs to be taken seriously. As the NAL has grown, the margin for error is slim, as the league has drastically improved since their 2021 woes. Outside of a couple, any team is a threat, and Parabellum clearly hopes to improve their standing with a young, talented Challenger League player.
A Parabellum spokesperson declined to comment.
