Six Karma and Spacestation Gaming have advanced to Group B's upper bracket final following their victories over Ninjas in Pyjamas and Elevate, respectively.

Six Karma upset Ninjas in Pyjamas

Against all the odds, Six Karma watered down Ninjas in Pyjamas' Major return. It was the Brazilians' first appearance at an international competition since the team's defeat against XSET at the Six Berlin Major.

Starting from the attacking side on Clubhouse, Six Karma kicked things off with the right foot as the Mexican-majority roster got an early two-round lead.

Gustavo "Wizard" Gomes secured Ninjas in Pyjamas' first round of the match after a 1v2 clutch on Armory. A well-timed C4 stopped Saúl "Morphed" Torres from planting the defuser. Despite the Brazilian's play, Six Karma was headed to the defensive side with a positive 4-2 on the scoreboard.

Eventually, the LATAM League roster defeated the Six Invitational 2021 champions by 7-3. It's the first time a team with Argentinian representation gets a win at an international Siege competition.

With a SiegeGG rating of 1.33, Josías "Soco" Altamirano was Six Karma's best player. It's also worth noting Federico "Pechito" Miller's 1v1 clutch in round five, which prevented Ninjas in Pyjamas from putting themselves ahead on the scoreboard.

Spacestation stop Elevate comeback attempt just in time

Finally, Spacestation Gaming secured the win against Elevate after a perfect attacking half. The North American League roster swapped roles with the Asian squad on match point.

However, it required blood, sweat, and tears from the astronauts to close the match. After going winless throughout the first six rounds, Elevate claimed four defenses before Spacestation Gaming secured the win.

Sadly, Elevate couldn't play with its full roster as BarcodeOP couldn't secure his visa in time to compete. Instead, Ilham "Sunan" Surya played as he averaged a SiegeGG rating of 0.80.

Matthew "Hotancold" Stevens was the best player of the match with a SiegeGG rating of 1.61 and a KOST of 91. Meanwhile, Razaan "Ape" Adiprakasa led Elevate as he finished with a rating of 1.26.

On Wednesday, Six Karma and Spacestation Gaming will play in a BO1 series for a chance to advance to the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen. Meanwhile, later today, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Elevate will face off in the final match of Day 1.
