SANDBOX Gaming have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta after defeating Beyond Stratos Gaming by 2-0 in the South Korea League Deciders' semifinals. It will be SANDBOX Gaming's second international tournament this year after their participation at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen.
So far in Stage 2, the yellow roster hasn't lost a single map after going flawless in Group A. Today, against Beyond Stratos Gaming, the team confirmed its good form and obtained a ticket to compete in the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta. They join DPlus, who secured a spot earlied today after the team's win against Talon Esports.
Next week, SANDBOX Gaming and DPlus will meet in the South Korea League Deciders' grand final to decide what team will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta Phase 2 and who will start from Phase 1. Moreover, the winner of the match will be given 150 SI Points, while the loser will get 130 SI Points.
With this result, SANDBOX Gaming have already secured 165 SI Points in Stage 2, a number that could increase in the future. So far, the South Koreans have earned 350 SI Points this year.
