Although it may sound a bit dramatic, Veto's ability seems to have enough potential to basically break Valorant's meta. At least, that's what the whole Valorant community thinks after seeing the teaser released by Riot Games one day before Veto's reveal.
In the 20-minute-long video released in Valorant's official X channel, players can see how Gekko's Wingman is taken down by some kind of never-seen-before laser beam. It's hard to explain what happens but, basically, Gekko's best friend is shot and killed instantly. Obviously, this is a clear teaser of Veto's ability.
While we don't know much about Veto yet we can finally say that Veto will be the players' solution to cancel the overwhelming ability meta. Are you tired of enemy agents using their abilities at once, putting you in a extremely small position without you being able to do anything? Well, Veto will be the answer.
Gekko's Wingman isn't the only victim here. Other posts have displayed Veto's ability against other agents, like Reyna and Jett, or Brimstone, among many others. It seems like Veto's ability will be able to cancel any type of ability in Valorant, which could be extremely strong, and, obviously, has the potential to break the meta.
Veto will be revealed right before the start of the Champions 2025 grand final as the presentation will give players the chance to see the Sentinel in action for the first time. The Senegalese agent is expected to transform Valorant's meta so make sure to not miss this one out!
