It has been almost seven months since Riot Games added a new agent to Valorant. It was in March 2025 as Waylay was released to the shooter. Well, over half a year later, we are finally able to say Valorant's next agent release is just around the corner.
Earlier today, Valorant's popular leaker ValorLeaks posted the name, role, and description of the shooter's upcoming agent. According to leaks, Valorant's new agent will be a Sentinel from Senegal called Veto.
Veto's in-game description is pretty clear: "Introducing Veto, our new Senegalese Sentinel. A hero who has gained powers due to a genetic mutation. His Radivore Mutation shuts down and gets rid of enemy effects."
So, although Veto is a human, he has a unique super power due to a genetic mutation. His special super power is called Radivore Mutation, which apparently "shuts down" and "gets rid" of enemy abilities.
This description fits with what KAY/0 already brings to the table. However, considering how overwhelming the combination of some agent abilities is, the addition of Veto may make a lot of sense.
Veto will be the first Sentinel released to Valorant since Vyse, who was introduced to the Valorant agent pool in August 2024 as part of Patch 9.04. It's also worth mentioning that Veto is the first African agent released to the game since the launch of Astra, and just the third African agent in Valorant, with Cyber completing the trio.
While we don't know when Veto will be released to Valorant, expect to get official updates about the game's new Sentinel at Valorant Champions 2025 this weekend, between October 3 and October 5.
