Fortnite has once again surprised its community by bringing back one of the most popular and rare skins, Trench Raider. Originally released in Chapter 2, Season 1 back in 2019, this skin hasn’t been available for over four years. Though it made a brief appearance in early 2020, players who have been eagerly waiting now have finally gotten another opportunity to add Trench Raider to their collection.
The return of the Trench Raider skin has generated quite a buzz within the Fortnite community, with fans flocking to the item shop to grab it before it vanishes once more. In this guide, you will learn who Trench Raider is, what makes this skin so special, and how to get it.
Trench Raider Returns on Fortnite After 4+ Years
Trench Raider is a Fortnite skin based on the character model Hector. Due to its character design and the lore behind it, Trench Raider was highly appreciated by the players.
After a brief appearance in January 2020, Trench Raider vanished from the Fortnite item shop for more than four and a half years, only returning on September 1, 2024. This has made Trench Raider one of the rarest skins in Fortnite history and due to this prolonged absence, it is one of the most sought-after skins at the moment.
What Makes Trench Raider Unique?
The Trench Raider skin belongs to the Fathoms Deep set and has a black and gray futuristic bodysuit with yellow highlights. It has pockets for small-bladed weapons and a communication headset, which makes it look tactical and immersive. This sets it apart from the many crossover skins in the game.
How to Get Trench Raider
Trench Raider is unfortunately no longer available in the Item Shop. It was only briefly available over the course of August 30 to September 1. It was in the Fortnite item shop under the Signature Styles section for 1,200 V-Bucks.
It may be some time before Trench Raider returns again, emphasizing the importance of always keeping one eye on the Fortnite Item Shop.
In addition to the Trench Raider character, players can also buy the Torpedo Tank backpack to complement the set.
