This year’s Overwatch Championship Series (OWCS) will end memorably. Activision Blizzard announced that the big eSports event will reveal new information about the highly-anticipated Season 14 of Overwatch 2.
According to the game’s official esports website, the OWCS finals will run from November 22 to 24. The post informs players about upcoming events that can net them in-game goodies for participating. However, the real meat is the announcement that details on Season 14 will be revealed during this event.
To be specific, there will be a special live segment at the OWCS desk on the event's first day, November 22. Several members of the development team will be there to discuss some of the new content.
We expect to see news about the upcoming test weekend for the new tank hero as well as some trailers and lore details revealing this character's background.
It’s been an eventful year for Activision Blizzard’s multiplayer shooter. Despite controversies like canceling this game’s story-themed PvP mode, the developers have made up for it by bringing back 6-on-6 and consistently adding more content.
Overwatch 2 players can currently enjoy the Halloween-themed Junkenstein’s Laboratory mode. This limited-time event allows players to use some of the game’s Heroes in new monster forms. As part of the Halloween theme, players can earn power-ups called mutations that alter their character’s stats fitting the holiday’s horror-filled tales.
Fans enjoyed Junkenstein’s Laboratory so much that Activision Blizzard extended the event’s length to November 11. Now players have more time to spend with their monster-like hero and keep playing this well-received mode.
