Are you still missing Fortnite OG? Then there's some good news. According to highly reliable leakers, Epic Games is set to make the OG island a permanent mode this December.
According to HYPEX and Shiina, the two most prominent dataminers and leakers in the Fortnite community, Epic Games has a ton of content planned for fans of the original experience.
Undeniably bringing the original Fortnite map permanently and its iconic POIs such as Tilted Towers or Tomato Town is amazing. But as leaks suggest, the OG map will receive constant updates based on the 10 seasons worth of it.
If you're unaware, the period known as Fortnite OG encompasses the first years of the game, from 2017 to early 2020, when Chapter 2 Season 1 revolutionized the battle royale, debuting the current cadence of content Epic Games is still using.
OG is back for good!
Both Shiina and HYPEX state that seasons will be introduced monthly. The mode will feature only the original loot pool in order to preserve the actual feel of the OG map. Having said that, the mode will also include Zero Build, a non-construction format that was introduced in 2022.
It is expected that the announcement will drop at The Game Awards. The event will take place on December 12. It could very well be a shadow drop, one that's technically now being ruined by leaks that is.
In the meantime, Fortnite players are currently enjoying Chapter 2 Remix, a throwback to 2019's massive update that changed the game entirely.
If you're looking to join in on the festivities, we recommend you check out how to get the Ice Spice skin as soon as it drops. On top of that, you'll also be able to get the Juice Wrld outfit for free, but only for a very limited time, a blink-and-you-miss-it type of deal you don't want to pass on.
