Although Valorant's patch 9.10 hasn't been deployed yet, the updates released in the past weeks have made something clear: the Duelist meta is about to change.
Valorant's upcoming patch will see the arrival of Phoenix's buff, which will allow his firewall to penetrate through walls while also making his Curveball a signature ability, meaning he will be able to regenerate one every time he gets two kills.
While it will not be released until the start of December, Valorant's patch 9.11 is now trending after what a Valorant Game Designer unveiled on their personal X account. The designer pretty much confirmed Neon will be nerfed in patch 9.11, as you can see below:
The dev team agrees with the community regarding the current stage of the duelist. Her movement is hectic, difficult to read, and gives Neon mains a huge advantage. Therefore, the team will make "some adjustments to balance out the parts that feel overpowered while maintaining her grounded movement combat fantasy."
As expected, the community's reaction to the post has been extremely positive. However, players will have to wait one month until Neon's nerf is deployed to the game as Patch 9.11 is expected to be released on December 10.
