According to a post from the official Rainbow Six Siege North American League Twitter account, the NAL broadcast will be shut down for Tuesday, April 12, but games will continue to be played "out of respect for the current situation in New York".

Earlier today, 16 people were shot and 10 were injured when a man clad in a "worker's vest" opened fire in a New York subway. A manhunt is underway for the suspect.

Five of the victims are in critical condition.

The NAL's fifth playday was set to begin around 11 AM PST, the local time in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the NAL is played out of the HyperX Esports Arena.

Matches will still be played, but will not be streamed. VODs of the matches will be made available at a later date.
