Even though the community's attention is shifting towards Black Ops 6, a few rumors about an upcoming addition to Warzone and the next Infinity Ward title, rumored to be Modern Warfare 4, have come out.
The leaks come from well-known user BobNetworkUK_ on X (formerly Twitter), who has accurately revealed information about the franchise before. The leaker first reassured that Infinity Ward is the main developer behind MW4, something that was already assumed by many.
The account also mentions the game will have remastered maps from the original Modern Warfare 3 from 2011.
However, not everything is going as planned since the leaker also mentions there are currently development issues, with the team "at a standstill" and "unhappy" about the game's features while Activision keeps putting pressure on them.
In another post, the account also claims both Treyarch Studios (Black Ops franchise) and Infinity Ward are developing a map-creation tool for the general public.
It is unclear when this is coming out and what games it will support, but it's interesting to see that Activision is actively developing tools for the community at the same time is shutting down community-created projects like the H2 multiplayer mod for Modern Warfare Remastered (2016).
One last thing revealed by BobNetworkUK_ is that the map Verdansk is currently scheduled to launch in Season 2 of Black Ops 6. However, the account also notes that Raven Software is behind on the development, meaning its return could be delayed a bit further.
