The Diver error often appears following the launch of a new update meaning Season 5 could be the next time it appears. How to fix MW3 and Warzone Diver error

The most straightforward fix for anyone encountering the Diver error is to restart the Call of Duty app. There's a chance of the connection issue appearing during startup preventing the patch from installing correctly.

Another way involves changing the DNS address on the PC or console affected by the error. The DNS address is usually the address of the ISP but changing it to either Cloudflare or Google's DNS addresses can stop the Diver error from impacting MW3 and Warzone.

Below are the Cloudflare and Google DNS addresses:

  • Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
  • Google: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Players can spam the Back button while the game loads as a last resort. This bypasses the Diver error and allows players back onto the main menus. If none of the solutions listed above work, head to the Activision Online Services page to see if the servers work.
