Marvel Rivals has been out for a month and fans continue to love this superhero shooter. Now that the game has officially entered its first season, players are curious about who is considered the best. While we encourage players to try everyone out and see who matches their playstyle, it’s always fun to see who is considered the best.
Tier lists are always subjective, but they can be useful when getting ready for a Rivals session. Sometimes, players want to know who to pick for fun or to support their current party. Because this is a live-service shooter, the Rivals tier-list will continue to be updated and change every season or so.
Without further ado, here’s the current Marvel Rivals Season 1 tier list.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 tier list
S-Tier
Here are the characters many fans consider to be the best of the best when it comes to the current Rivals meta:
- Hawkeye
- Luna Snow
- Mantis
Fans are probably shocked to see Hawkeye here since the character recently got nerfed in the Season 1 patch. Even with said nerf, the Avenging Archer is still a long-range threat to heroes and villains alike.
Luna Snow and Mantis continue to dominate as strategists. Both characters do great damage for healers, hence, their current popularity in the meta. If players are thinking about healers, they might want to pick these two.
A-Tier
These characters are some of the best in Marvel Rivals Season 1. Most players will be able to get plenty of wins with these heroes and villains.
- Groot
- Venom
- Moon Knight
- Psylocke
- Spider-Man
- Star-Lord
- Winter Soldier
- Cloak & Dagger
- Doctor Strange
- Iron Fist
Seeing Iron Fist in this list won’t surprise anyone, as the martial arts expert continues to dominate the battlefield. Venom and Spider-Man also continue to swing in the right direction, proving how lucky these spiders are. Moon Knight and Star-Lord are also excellent long-range heroes, who can spam damaging long-range attacks.
Winter Soldier is still a major threat, making fans fear the word “again” for hilarious reasons. Psylocke is another obvious pick here, as are Doctor Strange and Groot. Essentially, picking any of these characters is only going to help players in the long run.
B-Tier
Although these characters are good in Marvel Rivals Season 1, they aren’t great. Players must either master their skills or pair them up with stronger characters. Even then, you won’t regret picking any of these heroes.
- Jeff the Land Shark
- Rocket Raccoon
- The Hulk
- Magneto
- Peni Parker
- Black Panther
- Namor
It’s a bit sad seeing Jeff the Landshark here since the character was pretty top-tier. On the opposite side, Namor is now seen as a stronger threat because he was in the bottom tier. Everyone else is par for the course, so anyone using these characters should be fine.
C-Tier
Fans who use these characters in Marvel Rivals Season 1 will be able to survive, but not by much. In one of these intense sessions, plenty of teamwork and strategy is needed to make these characters work.
- Black Widow
- Scarlet Witch
- Captain America
- Thor
- Iron Man
- Storm
- Mr. Fantastic
- Invisible Woman
Seeing Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman debut this low will be disappointing to fans hoping they would be better. Other fans are also sad to see Captain America remain a low ranking character, despite getting buffed in the recent update. With all that being said, these characters are still pretty manageable if players master their playstyles.
D-Tier
There’s only one character who is now in the Marvel Rivals D-Tier and it’s none other than:
- Squirrel Girl
Despite the character having some decent abilities, she feels too situational in the current Marvel Rivals meta. Fans might be disappointed since she was pretty strong during her initial debut.
That’s our Marvel Rivals tier list for Season 1. Curious players can also read about what we know about Ultron and Blade.
