Marvel Rivals has plenty of must-have cosmetics, so fans want to earn as much currency as possible. Lattice is one of the main forms of currency in the game since it can be converted into Units. Naturally, fans want to know if there are ways to earn Lattice for free, but the answer might disappoint them.
Currency in free-to-play shooters might be controversial, but they do make sense. Because the game is technically free, the devs must make money by giving players cool costumes to buy. Though there are multiple ways to earn Units in the game, earning Lattice in the game is much more limited.
Battle Pass progression
As of this writing, fans can only get free Lattice in Marvel Rivals by progressing through the Battle Pass. Ironically, fans have to pay for the Battle Pass and they can only do that with real money. Needless to say, there isn’t a proper way to earn Lattice for free in the game, though that can always change in future seasons.
Luckily, once players purchase a Battle Pass they keep it forever, so you don’t have to worry about Lattice being on a time limit. While it would have been nice to earn some of this currency for free, there’s only so much the devs at NetEase can give players. Luckily, there is more than one way to earn Units in the game, which is handy.
Benefits of Lattice
While having to pay for Lattice in Marvel Rivals is annoying, there are small benefits to the currency. Most notably, fans can just spend $1 on some Lattice, which can save players some money. Considering how most live-service games have $5 as the cheapest currency, this is a nice surprise.
Hopefully, the devs add more ways for players to earn Lattice in the future. Since the game is going to be updated for some time, expect future events to give fans more ways to earn some currency.
