After having a successful closed alpha in May, Marvel Rivals developers are preparing to run it back with a closed beta. The new test period will feature new content and more players should be able to get access.

While we wait for more official details, here is all the information we have about this next test so you can prepare accordingly.

Start date

Marvel Rivals' close beta test period is set to begin sometime in July. A specific start date hasn't been revealed as of yet, so we will have to wait for an official announcement from developer NetEase.

Unlike the first period, the beta will be available on all the platforms it's coming out, meaning both PC and current generation console (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) players will get a chance to participate. The game won't be available on previous generation consoles.

How to register?

As of now, there is no way to register for the beta or any method to secure access to it. Once the details on how to sign up for the test period are revealed, we will update this article to add all the information.

Content

The beta will feature all the content that was available in the closed alpha, plus a few other additions announced with the console version trailer. One of them is the new version of Tokyo 2099 called Spider Islands, which you can get a glimpse of with the following image:

The hero (or anti-hero) roster will also increase with the addition of Venom and Adam Warlock. Each character will also bring a new possibility for team-ups, with Venom able to work with Peter and Peni Parker, and Adam teaming up with other members from the Guardians of the Galaxy.
