Release date
There is no release date for Professor X in Marvel Rivals at the time of writing. Despite some of the character’s data getting leaked by RivalsInfo, a release date wasn’t one of them. Fans will have to be patient since previous leaks have shown that data in the game doesn’t mean a thing when it comes to release times.
Many players assumed that Ultron would be a Season 1 character for Rivals, but that wasn’t the case at all. Despite having data that’s nearly complete, he was pushed aside for the Fantastic Four. Season 1 is starting out with Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, with Human Torch and The Thing coming out in the latter half of this period.
Abilities
Professor X will launch with the Strategist role, according to RivalsLeak. However, the character’s role doesn’t mean anything in the long run, as the game is more dependent on individual abilities. It’s why Luna Snow can dominate the meta, even if she’s technically “just” a healer.
We expect Charles to have plenty of attack and defensive skills via telekinesis. Since the character is always billed as the world’s strongest telepath, this gero should be a force to be reckoned with.
