DarkZero Esports have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal after defeating M80 in the second semifinal of the North America League 2024 Stage 2.

The purple roster had a great start to the series as they got a one-sided 7-3 victory on Border. However, M80 pushed the series to the decided map after a 7-5 win on Chalet. Lastly, on Clubhouse, DarkZero Esports came back from behind and closed the series with four consecutive successful attacking rounds.

Tomorrow, DarkZero Esports will play against Soniqs in the North America League 2024 Stage 2 grand final. While both teams have already qualified for Montreal, the winner will get the region's first seed and five extra Six Invitational Points. Fans should be excited about the clash as Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski will face his former DarkZero Esports teammates.

Looking at the Global Standings, today's result has seen DarkZero Esports skyrocketing to third place as they currently have 440 SI Points — only behind Cloud9 Beastcoast and Team BDS.

The BLAST R6 Major Montreal will be DarkZero Esports' seventh international cap since February 2023, as they have only missed the Gamers8 2023. It's also worth mentioning that the purple team is the only North American squad to have finished among the best eight sides in the last two BLAST R6 Major editions played.

Ahead of tomorrow's clash against Soniqs, DarkZero Esports are the favorites to win the grand finals as they have won their last eight matches. However, the team's last defeat in the North America League came against Soniqs, their upcoming opponent.

Meanwhile, M80 will have a second shot at qualifying for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal as they will play against Spacestation Gaming.
