M80 have unveiled the decision to drop the organization's Valorant roster three days after the team's defeat against 2GAME Esports in the VCT Ascension Americas 2024 grand final.

M80 has been part of Valorant's Tier 2 scene since the organization's creation, in December 2022. In July 2023, the team was one game away from winning the VCT Ascension Americas 2023 and clinching promotion to the VCT Americas 2024 as they lost against The Guard in the grand finals.

Unfortunately for the organization, the result was no different at the VCT Ascension Americas 2024 as the squad lost against 2GAME Esports in the tournament's final match.

Despite the team's decision to part ways with the American roster, we will likely see a bunch of them playing in North America's top flight next season. Just like in 2023, despite not winning the VCT Ascension Americas 2023 grand finals, two of their former players in Amine "johnqt" Ouarid and Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic made their way to the VCT Americas 2024 after signing for Sentinels and 100 Thieves, respectively.
