M80 have qualified for the VCT Ascension Americas 2024 grand final after completing an epic comeback against All Knights. The Canadian-majority roster defeated the South American lineup after coming back from a two-map deficit.

After beginning the BO5 series with two one-sided victories on Haven (13-3) and Lotus (13-4) All Knights became the favorites to clinch the tournament's final grand final spot. However, M80's players came back epically with back-to-back victories on Sunset (13-9), Icebox (13-5), and Abyss (13-6).

Following today's victory, M80 have clinched the last spot to compete at the VCT Ascension Americas 2024. The Americans will play against the Brazilian roster of 2GAME Esports, a squad that defeated M80 in their first playoff match.

As 2GAME Esports reached the grand final through the Upper Bracket, the Brazilians will have a 2-map ban advantage. This is nothing new for M80, who also reached last year's VCT Ascension grand final through the playoff's Lower Bracket. Back then, the team lost against The Guard, whose team was eventually acquired by G2 Esports.

Although it's been one year since the team's defeat against The Guard, three members of M80 will have the chance to redeem themselves and get promoted to the VCT 2025 Americas as all GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestion, Marc-Andre "NiSMO" Tayar, and Alexander "zander" Dituri played in last year's grand final.

The match between M80 and 2GAME Esports will take place tomorrow at 1 PM Monterrey time and the winner will become the twelfth team of the VCT 2025 Americas.
