LOUD and Sentinels have qualified for the VCT Masters Madrid after defeating Evil Geniuses and NRG, respectively.
First, LOUD had to come back against Evil Geniuses after losing on Ascent by 13-7. Wins on Icebox (13-7) and Sunset (5-13) saw the Brazilians taking the region's first spot to compete in Madrid. Meanwhile, Sentinels began their series against NRG with an overtime victory (16-14) on Sunset, a result that was followed by a 7-13 defeat on Icebox. Fortunately for the red roster, the team had no complications on Split as they concluded the series with a 13-3 victory.
Curiously enough, both LOUD and Sentinels were drawn into the VCT Americas 2024 Kickoff Group B and met in their first match in the tournament. Back then, the Brazilians won after victories on Split (13-11) and Ascent (13-9). Eventually, LOUD topped Group B's standings after defeating Leviatán in the Winners' Match and were awarded a spot in the tournament's Playoffs stage.
Meanwhile, Sentinels' defeat against LOUD was followed by two tight victories against 100 Thieves and Leviatán. In the Play-In stage, Sentinels took the first seed after defeating MIBR (2-0) and falling to G2 Esports (2-1).
Later today, LOUD and Sentinels will face off to decide what team will take the region's first seed heading to the VCT Masters Madrid.
