Leviatán have defeated G2 Esports to move to the Valorant Champions Seoul upper bracket semifinals. The VCT 2024 Americas champions won the first game of the series on Icebox (16-14) before closing out the match with a one-sided victory on Abyss (13-5).

G2 Esports began the series on the right foot with a 6-1 lead while attacking on Icebox. Eventually, the former Ascension roster swapped sides with an 8-4 lead on the scoreboard. However, Leviatán overcame the difference with a rock-solid start to their attacking half, which saw them reaching map point.

Although G2 Esports managed to force the overtime, where they grabbed the lead twice, Leviatán clinched the win after three consecutive round wins. Eventually, the blue roster ran over G2 Esports on Abyss. The most surreal moment of the match happened when the former Ascension roster jumped off the limits of the map on round 15.

With this victory, Leviatán have moved to the upper bracket semifinals where they will play against Team Heretics. The Europeans defeated Fnatic earlier today after victories on Lotus and Abyss. Meanwhile, G2 Esports will clash against Fnatic in the first round of the lower bracket.
