Fortnite could have new WWE collaborations as pictures surface online of the battle royale being front and center as a sponsor of a new ring mat.
The wrestling company is set to make a historic debut on Netflix this January 6 with the live broadcast of Monday Night Raw, one of the longest-running TV shows in the United States and the ring mat will feature plenty of sponsors, including Epic's battle royale.
In a picture leaked online by several wrestling-centric and Fortnite accounts, the new WWE mat features a slew of sponsors, including Cricket, Snickers, Netflix, and Fortnite smacked-dabbed in the center.
Fortnite will feature prominently in WWE's debut on Netflix
Historically, WWE has rarely used ring mat sponsors like this. Their first big sponsored deal came just last year in March when Logan Paul's Prime sports drink struck a millionaire deal to feature prominently throughout the year.
What this could mean for Fortnite could be very exciting. Epic Games has extensively collaborated with WWE in the past, adding the likes of John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair as skins for players to purchase via the item shop.
With new talent at the forefront of the company in recent years such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, and more, it's possible that WWE wants to capitalize on their existing relationship with Epic Games to reach a bigger audience to help them push their arrival to Netflix.
Of course, this is all merely speculation and the sponsorship might just be a simple and direct way for Epic Games to promote Fortnite as WWE is set to debut on one of the largest streaming platforms in the world.
In any case, if you're a fan of both we recommend you tune in and see what kind of surprises, if any, both companies have in store for us this time.
