G2 Esports keep marching on

G2 Esports' Six Invitational hopes are still alive after they defeated FaZe Clan and DarkZero Esports on the same day.

The Europeans' match against FaZe was very close, despite not going to overtime on any of the maps. FaZe's initial victory on Clubhouse (7-5) was followed by two G2 Esports wins on Villa (7-5) and Theme Park (7-4).

Jack "Doki" Robertson's performance against the Brazilians was very poor, as he only had a SiegeGG Rating of 0.81. However, the Scottish player would redeem himself with an excellent performance against DarkZero, where he got a Rating of 1.39, a KOST of 85%, and an entry balance of 5-1 (+4).

Karl "Alem4o" Zarth was G2's best player of the day, though, averaging a SiegeGG Rating of 1.25 across both series.

M80 move to stop G2's run

Following their loss against w7m esports yesterday, M80 dropped down to the lower bracket. The Brazilian-majority team thus played against Spacestation Gaming today, who had beaten Heroic in their preceding match.

Spacestation struggled with their attacks once again, only winning one attack out of a possible 11 against their regional opponents. While it's clear there's a problem when attacking, the nature of the maps didn't help, as they played on Theme Park and Clubhouse -- maps whose defense win rate is 59% and 58%, respectively.

Léo "Kyno" Figueiredo finished as the team's best player in the series with a SiegeGG Rating of 1.40. Meanwhile, nobody on Spacestation ended with a Rating above 1.00.

Team Liquid out after Six Jönköping Major grand-final replay

Team Liquid lost to Team BDS in the first round of the lower bracket, a shocking result for a team that was in a Major grand-final three months ago. Even more concerning is Luccas "Paluh" Molina's final rating in the Six Invitational 2023, as he only had a SiegeGG Rating of 1.10 and an entry balance of 15-10 (+5).

Théo "LikEfac" Mariano was the best player of the series, as Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu quietly dropped a set of poor performances.

Later on, Team BDS also defeated MNM Gaming by a score of 1-2. After losing the first map 7-5, the Frenchmen redeemed themselves with a 7-0 victory on Kafe. They eventually closed out the series with a rock-solid 7-4 victory on Skyscraper.

BDS's next game will be against Astralis, a team they defeated in the final match of the group stage. On the other hand, Team Liquid followed FaZe Clan's footsteps, as Brazil ended the day with three of their teams heading out of the Six Invitational. Now, w7m esports are their last hope.

LOS oNe eliminated after maximum overtime defeats

LOS oNe, who qualified for the Six Invitational 2023 through the LATAM SI 2023 Closed Qualifiers, have been eliminated from the Six Invitational at the hands of Astralis. Astralis also eliminated Soniqs in their preceding game.

The Brazilian side had topped the standings in Group C following victories against Oxygen Esports, Team BDS, CYCLOPS athlete gaming, and Astralis. Throughout the group stage matches, LOS oNe played five maximum overtimes, going unbeaten when reaching the 15th round.

However, their luck changed in the playoffs. Wolves Esports sent the Brazilians to the lower bracket after an 8-7 victory on Villa. Now, Astralis have been the ones to defeat LOS oNe in maximum overtime, as the series was decided on the 15th round on Border.

Gabriel "Maia" Maia went berserk against the Americans, as he got a SiegeGG Rating of 1.43. However, his efforts came to nothing as his team ended up being eliminated from the Six Invitational 2023. Now, Astralis will face Team BDS next.
