Hunt: Showdown developers Crytek latest event, Desolation's Wake, will bring a ton of new weapons to the extraction shooter.
With Crytek recently celebrating the sixth anniversary of Hunt: Showdown, the new Desolation's Wake event is shrouded in mystery. Fans have grown tired due to a lack of content with recent events not having enough weapons or hunters to make them enticing.
The previous event, Tide of Desolation, which ran from December 13 to February 14, featured a slew of rewards via both premium and free battle passes. This wasn't enough to appease fans who have been clamoring for a new map. The last map added to Hunt: Showdown, DeSalle, was released in August 2021.
If you're a hardcore Hunter, Desolation's Wake might not be what you were expecting. In any case, let's break down everything we know about it.
Hunt: Showdown Desolation's Wake release date
Desolation's Wake is set to release on March 6. The event was unveiled with a slick trailer on February 28 which you can see below.
Hunt: Showdown Desolation's Wake new weapons
Little is known about the event besides a bunch of new weaponry that will debut with it. The last update on the official Hunt: Showdown site dates back to December 13 ahead of the Tide of Desolation event.
Still, their social channels have been very busy showcasing some of the weapons players can expect to arrive with Desolation's Wake. These are:
Caldwell Marathon weapon variant
Mako 1895 Carbine Claw weapon variant
Hermit Stick legendary weapon
Another weapon was also shown, the The Son of Gunpowder. However, the image states this one's "coming soon" without mentioning Desolation's Wake, most likely confirming it won't be a part of the event.
Both the Mako Carbine and Caldwell Marathon will bring new variants when they debut, giving hunters plenty of more tools to take down demonic beasts.
And that's all we know so far. As always, as soon as Crytek reveals more information we'll be updating you accordingly.
