Gray Zone Warfare is a new extraction shooter from the developers at Madfinger Games. The title is already generating interest amongst the community and posing as a great competitor for other established games in the genre like Escape from Tarkov.

With the early access period starting really soon, we have gathered all the general information about the game in case you are planning to try it.

Release date

Gray Zone Warfare is set to come out on Tuesday, April 30 in Early Access. This means that the full game will be available then, but the developers will continue to work on it and add significant features as part of the base package.

The game is only releasing for the PC via Steam, but the developers have already expressed interest in bringing it to consoles. However, they also said that a console launch could be years out as they are first trying to build the experience they envisioned on PC.

Features

The title is a first-person extraction shooter that takes place in a fictional Southeast Asian island, which has been evacuated after a mysterious event. This is a 42km² open world that players can explore either on foot or through the air by using helicopters.

The game can be played solo or with a squad of friends and matches have a PvPvE format, where players can encounter other players or NPCs.

Similar to other extraction shooters, the title contains several weapons and equipment, which can be modified to the user's liking. One unique feature is the health system, as players will have to use a different type of item to cure their character depending on the injury.
