Fortnite could be adding Devil May Cry characters sooner rather than later. According to leakers from the community, Dante and company are set to arrive to the battle royale soon.

According to dataminer and leaker HYPEX, who shared information from reliable sources such as Wensoing, the rumors of a Devil May Cry content have picked up some steam.

Dante, Nero, Vergil, and more have been rumored to hit Fortnite all the way back in 2023. Sadly, it's been nothing more than vague whispers, up until now that is.

Epic Games has found in Capcom one of its strongest allies in the gaming industry when it comes to crossovers. The battle royale features almost a dozen Capcom characters from Street Fighter and Resident Evil, two of their more iconic franchises.

Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Blanka, and Sakura represent the fighting game while Chris and Claire Redfield, Leon Kenney, and Jill Valentine are part of the Resident Evil sets.

Sadly for fans, while it's unconfirmed, there could be licensing issues behind the scenes that have prevented the skins from making a return to the Fortnite Item Shop.

The last time the Street Fighter skins were available for purchase was in August 2022, almost three years ago.

As for the Resident Evil skins, the last time both sets were spotted was in April 2023, a few weeks after the Leon and Clair bundle was released to coincide with the launch of Resident Evil 4 Remake.

So as you can see, fans could be as excited for returning skins as they are for a new Devil May Cry collaboration.

In any case, we'll keep you updated with news regarding an upcoming Fortnite x Capcom crossover or the return of those beloved skins that are so elusive for more recent players.
