FURIA Esports have announced the signings of Eduardo "KDS" Chiste and Rafael "RafadeLL" Oliveira one day after parting ways with Willian "Stk" da Costa and Luiz "Kizi" Carlos.
Both signings come from after a shaky season with 00 Nation, the team led by the former Team Liquid IGL Thiago "xS3xyCake" Reis. After winning the first Copa do Brasil of the season, both players and viewers had high hopes of seeing a potential resurrection of the team. However, winning the regional competition was the team's peak.
Despite the team's performances, KDS was one of the main players of the squad throughout the season. He was the best-rated player in the Copa do Brasil Stage 1 with a SiegeGG rating of 1.42. In Brasileirao's Stage 2, KDS got the fourth-best rating (1.19) despite a ninth-place finish for 00 Nation.
Finally, KDS would finish the year with a 0.90 rating in Brazil's Stage 3 and a 1.18 in the last Copa do Brasil of the season, where 00 Nation fell in the semi-finals with a 1-2 defeat against eventual Série B champions Magic Squad.
FURIA Esports have high hopes of getting back the KDS that helped Team oNe to win the Mexico Major played in Aug. 2021, as the team's entry roles will be now shared by him and Diogo "Fntzy" Lima. Alongside the fragger, Arthur "TchubZ" Figueira's right hand RafadeLL has followed KDS' steps after the former Team oNe head coach signed for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
FURIA Esports' first competitive game with KDS in the starting lineup will be this weekend against Team Cruelty, as the Brazilians will take part in the LATAM SI 2023 Closed Qualifier.
