But, what's next after that? Well, as in every year of Fortnite, Epic Games is expected to launch Fortnitemares in October to celebrate the Halloween season. This time-limited event always includes skins that, with time, become fan-favorites.
So, although players still have to wait two months for this year's Fortnitemares, here's everything we know so far about Fortnitemares 2025!
What is Fortnitemares?
Fortnitemares is a seasonal event in Fortnite that takes place during the Halloween season. During Fortnitemares, players have the chance to complete quests to unlock cosmetics and Season XP.
Fortnitemares is the players' chance to celebrate Halloween in Fortnite. The map is decorated with Halloween elements, like pumpkins, spider webs, and other spooky items. Additionally, Epic Games often adds new weapons and locations themed around the Halloween season.
When will Fortnitemares 2025 begin?
Although no official starting date has been given for Fortnitemares 2025 yet, we expect Fortnitemares 2025 to kick off during the third week of October and conclude on November 1st. This is based on the release of previous editions of Fortnitemares.
Keep in mind that Fortnitemares is a time-limited mini-season to celebrate Halloween. It's not going to be a three-month season, so players will just have a couple of weeks, maybe three, to celebrate the spooky season.
What collaborations will be released in Fortnitemares 2025?
While Epic Games haven't confirmed any collaborations, Fortnite leakers have revealed that Fortnitemares 2025 will include Scooby Doo, Ghost Face, and Jason Vorhees collaborations.
The most hyped collaboration of the three arguably is the Scooby Doo and Fortnite collaboration. The community's reaction to the rumors has been extremely positive and more leaks have surfaced since the initial news was spread. According to various Fortnite leakers, Shaggy will be part of the Fortnite and Scooby Doo collaboration and he will have multiple skins or unique styles.
The leaks regarding the Ghost Face collaboration with Fortnite have also been welcomed with open arms by the Fortnite community. So far, the leaks indicate the collaboration will be a mythic, including:
- Jumpscare mechanic
- Pulse effect while stalking enemies
- Primary and second ability
- Player can be slowed while using it
As in previous Fortnitemares, players should expect Fortnite to introduce even more skins.
