Metal Gear is coming back to Fortnite. If you missed getting your hands on Solid Snake the first time, there might be another chance, according to leaks.
Very reliable dataminers have stated that the legendary franchise created by Hideo Kojima will come back for a second wave of cosmetics. It makes total sense since Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming out at some point this year.
With that said, let's break down everything we know about the Fortnite x Metal Gear wave 2 of skins.
Is Metal Gear coming back to Fortnite?
The answer, according to leakers, is yes. Leakers such as Shiina have shared that we could potentially see the franchise make a return.
As mentioned, this wouldn't be the first time Metal Gear is in Fortnite. The iconic Solid Snake was a battle pass reward during Chapter 5, Season 1.
At that same time, Raiden was introduced to the Fortnite Item Shop. He was last seen very recently, leaving the shop this past February 8 after being brought back for a couple of weeks.
Recent changes have made it so battle pass items are able to appear in the item shop 18 months following their original release. So Solid Snake could make a return at some point past July.
Snake, are you there?
Do expect Epic Games to introduce brand-new skins, emotes, and other cosmetics if a new collaboration is set to debut, however. Perhaps a different take on Snake himself to differentiate it from the battle pass version.
Sadly, not much more information is known about the return of Metal Gear to Fortnite. Still, once more official or leaked news is out there, we'll update this section accordingly.
