The seasonal Chapter 5 Season 4 story quests continue in Fortnite, with players tasked with finding Captain Jones somewhere on the island to earn themselves a nice chunk of XP.
Just like every other season, the current Fortnite map is populated with NPCs that offer various services, including handing out healing items, selling powerful weapons, and even their prowess as guns-for-hire.
For the final step of the new story quests, locating Captain Jones is a must, allowing you to fully complete this week's missions and get ready for what Epic has in store in the near future.
Captain Jones' location in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
Finding Captain Jones in the current Fortnite map is pretty simple as he hangs in a small house northeast of the Nitrodome.
Captain Jones switched locations
This is the second and current spot where you'll be able to find Captain Jones. Previously, he used to hang around the Ship It! station, located northwest of the Nitrodome.
Captain Jones hangs out at the Ship It! station Epic Games.
We recommend you check your map to see where he'll spawn in your map as it's unclear whether the locations are random or if he is in a new fixed one each week.
To complete the quest, simply find and talk to Captain Jones to earn yourself a solid 20k XP to help you progress through the Chapter 5 Season 4 battle pass.
On top of that, the NPC will offer a few items in exchange for gold bars, this is the full list:
- Captain America's shield: 300 gold
- Monarch Pistol: 300 gold
- Patch up (medkit): 100 gold
If you have the gold to spare, both Cap's shield and the Monarch Pistol are incredible tools to help you get some Victory Royales.
The Monarch offered by Captain Jones is an Epic version and it comes with a scope attachment that makes it deadly at longer ranges, so barring the Doctor Doom version of the Monarch Pistol, you'll have one of the best weapons in Fortnite in your hands.
Sadly, Captain Jones is not one of the NPCs you're able to recruit, so you'll have to look elsewhere if you want an extra companion on your adventures.
