Are you wondering what happened to the Ready Up button in Fortnite? Don't worry, we got the answer.

With the start of Chapter 6 Season 1, Epic Games launched a massive update with plenty of content. Sadly, as is often the case, big patches tend to bring unsuspected issues to the game.

This time, a staple quality-of-life feature has been removed from Fortnite for the foreseeable future. Here's everything we know about the Ready Up button being gone.

Why can't I Ready Up in Fortnite?

As soon as Chapter 6 Season 1 dropped, Fortnite announced via the Fortnite Status X (formerly Twitter) account, that they were removing the Ready Up button.

The reason behind the decision to remove it is an undisclosed issue. While this is mere speculation, we can only assume it was a game-breaking bug for them to take such a decision.

No Ready Up button for the foreseeable future

The Ready Up button made jumping into matches much faster. As soon as you were eliminated or got a Victory Royale, you could just press Ready Up to start queuing while waiting inside your current lobby.

Without the button, you need to head back to the main menu and queue back up from the waiting lobby instead. It might not mean much, but it becomes increasingly annoying for players who are grinding the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass for longer sessions.

Sadly, as it stands, there's no timeline for when the nifty Read Up button might return to Fortnite. Epic Games confirmed it will be adding it in a future update, but provided no more information.

And that's pretty much all we know about the disappearance of the Ready Up button in Fortnite. As soon as we know more information we'll be updating this article accordingly.
