Alpha Atheris will compete in the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta with the former Ninjas in Pyjamas player João "Kamikaze" Gomes, as stated by the Mexican organization earlier today.
The decision comes after José "Motumbo" Abad wasn't given a visa to travel to the United States. According to Alpha Atheris' post on X, the organization has tried "during the 2023 competitive year" to "fulfill the requirements to travel with the team."
The Six Invitational 2021 world champion becomes the third Brazilian member of Alpha Atheris as he joins Gustavo "H4skk" Gabas and Alison "N1LL" Santos.
Although the decision has already been taken, Alpha Atheris will "continue fighting until the end to try and get an American visa."
Unless a major change takes place, the former Ninjas in Pyjamas player will travel to Atlanta where he could play against his former teammates.
